Purpose:
A diversity of state-of-the-art equipment for arborists will be
exhibited by the top companies of our profession. Company
representatives responsible for product design will be on hand, direct
from their factories, to demonstrate their equipment and answer your
questions. Specialists from Kansas State University and Kansas
Department of Agriculture will provide an update on insect and disease
diagnosis and treatment. Other professionals will make
presentations in areas of interest to the professional arborists.
Please take advantage of this opportunity to spend a relaxing day with
fellow arborists.

Tours:
Will be walking and/or riding tours of the various woody plant research
trials and woody plant evaluation trials. Trials to include NC-7
block, Trees for Kansas, Styrax, Crabapple, Sugar Maple and Redbud
evaluation trials, J. Frank Schmidt and Baileys evaluation blocks, and a
few of Dr. Griffin's ongoing research projects.
Contests:
Contests will include the Axe Throw and the Rope Throw.

Certification:
ISA Certification and credits for pesticide applicators recertification
will be available for the field day.

Cost and Pre-Registration: The Field
Day Registration fee is $25.00 per person for KAA members and $30.00 per
person for non-KAA members. Lunch will be furnished and we must
know in advance how many people will be in attendance.
Pre-registration is requested by Tuesday, May 31st. Registration
the day of the event will be $30.00 (member) and $35.00 (non-member).
