SMOKEY BEAR COSTUME LOAN PROGRAM UPDATE

In an effort to reduce fire department cost and streamline the return process we have introduced a new aspect to the Smokey Bear costume loan program. We will create a request in the UPS computer system to have them pick up the costume and return it to us at our cost. Here’s how it works.

1. Request a Smokey suit for your fire prevention oriented event. When requesting please be sure to provide the date Smokey is needed, a shipping address, and a name and phone number that we can contact with any questions.


2. Read through the enclosed guidelines before using the costume.


3. After your event contact KFS Fire Prevention* to let us know Smokey is ready to be picked up and give us the address of a place that the Smokey Bear costume can be picked up. This needs to be a place, like a business or city office that has someone around during most business hours.
