Ariel Whitely-Noll
Communications Coordinator
Ariel Whitely-Noll is the Communications Coordinator for the Kansas Forest Service. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Horticulture with an emphasis on greenhouse and nursery management and her master’s degree in Agricultural Communications and Education, both from Kansas State University. Prior to joining the Kansas Forest Service, Ariel served as the Horticulture Agent for K-State Research and Extension in Shawnee County, where she managed the Extension Master Gardener program and created educational programming focused on indoor plants, pest and disease issues, and local food systems.
Since joining the Kansas Forest Service in 2022, Ariel’s work has centered on sharing the agency’s story with Kansans and stakeholders through a wide range of communication channels. Her role includes creating content for social media, planning and promoting events, developing e-newsletter campaigns, collaborating with the publishing team to keep educational resources current, and serving as host of the Kansas Canopy Podcast. She also contributes to the ongoing management of the Kansas Forest Service website and helps to coordinate requests from outside media agencies.
Outside of work, Ariel is an avid reader with a substantial houseplant collection. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Jake, and their two dogs, Bindi and Ted.
