Clara Keller

Tech Team Member

Clara Keller

Clara joined the Kansas Forest Service in January 2023 as a student assistant with the Conservation Tree Program while completing her degree at Kansas State University. During her time as a student employee, she gained hands-on experience in greenhouse production, seedling shipping operations, and seed collection and processing. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, she accepted a full-time position as a Tech Team Member in the spring of 2026.
A lifelong appreciation for the outdoors and a passion for conservation have shaped Clara's academic and professional journey. She earned her Girl Scout Gold Award in 2022 and continued building her experience in natural resource management through both laboratory and fieldwork during her time at Kansas State. As a member of the Kansas Forest Service Tech Team, she is excited to continue learning about Kansas forests while supporting communities through tree inventories, timber marking, seed collection, outreach events, and the Conservation Tree Program.
Outside of work, Clara enjoys exploring the outdoors through hiking and fishing, caring for her growing collection of houseplants, and spending time with her cats.
