Windbreak

The goal of the Rural Forestry Program is the protection, management, and sustainability of forests, woodlands, and agroforestry resources in the rural landscapes of Kansas.

Prescribed Fire

The goal of the Wildland Fire Program is to empower fire departments to provide better service to Kansans through training, equipment, and financial assistance.

City Street Trees

The goal of the Community Forestry Program is to provide technical guidance, planning, and education for Kansas communities to improve the health, safety, and sustainability of community forests.

EAB tunnels

The goal of the Forest Health Program is to provide statewide assistance to rural landowners and communities on forest and shade tree pests and diseases or invasive species that target wooded areas.

Seedlings

The Conservation Tree Program offers tree and shrub seedlings for wildlife habitat, windbreaks, wood lots, timber plantations, or educational and riparian plantings.

Cut walnut timber

The Utilization and Marketing Program focuses on efforts and activities designed to promote the sustainable harvesting and utilization of Kansas’ diverse timber resources, for the benefit of both private and public sectors as well as the natural environment.
