Landowner Assistance Grants

Grant Overview

Kansas Forest Service has partnered with the USDA Forest Service to assist Kansas landowners in implementing important conservation practices across five broad categories:

  • Forest Management & Invasive Plants
  • Forest Management & Wildfire Risk
  • Windbreak Establishment & Renovation
  • Conservation Tree Planting
  • Riparian Forest Buffer Establishment

The Kansas Forest Service has secured a limited amount of funding to assist private landowners with conservation practices that align with the categories above. This funding has a limited window, expiring in late 2029, and will likely be fully obligated in advance of that date.
